This is art attack.

Sydney artist Scott Marsh is no stranger to controversy – who can forget his Kanye kissing Kanye mural (which disappeared after a ransom was reportedly paid by an anonymous celebrity), or his Casino Mike mural that portrayed the Wolf of Macquarie St himself, looking as smug as ever.

And now, following up from his Tony Abbott marrying Tony Abbott mural in Redfern, Marsh took to the side of Newtown’s Botany View Hotel for his latest work, which coincided with the resounding YES vote in the marriage equality survey, announced yesterday. His painting depicts the former PM and Australia’s closest link to god, Cardinal George Pell, enjoying each other’s company with a ‘happy ending.’

The penis straw and wristy insinuations a nice touch:

Sadly, overnight vandals have attacked the mural overnight and have covered Pell’s face in a paint, which actually kinda works with the theme of the painting if you get our drift:

Meanwhile, the Botany View Hotel has been inundated with ‘1 star’ reviews on Facebook from conservatives who are infuriated at their heroes’ latest depiction. It’s a pretty 5 star pub in our opinion, try the steak. We’ll have to see if either party officially addresses the mural, but in the meantime, enjoy it in all of its video glory:

Damn @scottie.marsh u a savage ? @bvhnewtown ????️‍? #loveislove #grange
