I think we’ve found our next buddy cop duo…

Ed Sheeran, the UK singer-songwriter whose rise to prominence was marked by his innocent and pure love songs, has an unexpected friend in legendary rapper, Snoop Dogg, and it turns out that the pair get up to all sorts of trouble together.

One instance that might take you by surprise (or in hindsight, not really, considering Snoop is involved) involved the two indulging in the devil’s lettuce together, along with the Gladiator himself, Russell Crowe. Speaking on veteran late night host Conan O’Brien’s podcast,Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, Sheeran spilled the beans on the continent-spanning blunt rotation, explaining, “He’s really close with Snoop Dogg,” Sheeran said. “They have sort of like smoke-offs and stuff. They’re really cool. I don’t really smoke at all and I was in the dressing room and they’re just, you know, blunt for blunt for blunt for blunt. And I’m like, I guess at some point during the night I have to smoke” (famous last words).

As you can probably guess, Sheeran went on to take a hit (or ten, from the sounds of it), with the ‘A-Team’ singer quickly becoming virtually paralysed. The scariest part, however, is when he seemingly lost the ability to see, with the UK penman adding, “I just remember looking at him and being like, I can’t see right now.”

Footage of the trio and their infamous sesh has since surfaced online, with Snoop teasing Sheeran for smoking all his weed (the balls on old mate Ed to even try something like that).
