With Activision’s era defining Tony Hawk Pro Skater series nearing it’s sweeth sixteenth, come August 31, it’s only appropriate for one to reminisce about all the time spent (wisely) hanging out with gen y’s de-facto step-dad.
As per their last release it doesn’t seem like the crux is going to sway much from it’s traditional gameplay in number 5. You know the deal, new spots, more customisable riders and some slight tweaks. An upside is that the new Freeskate online areas will allow 20 different users to play in the same hangout at the same time, which sounds about as rare, as it does taxing, to your share-house web connection.
One other new addition… Some missions will allow players to collect power-ups and shoot projectiles.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Riders include: Nyjah Huston, Riley Hawk, Aaron “Jaws” Homoki, Ishod Wair, Leticia Bufoni, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Andrew Reynolds and Lizzie Armanto. Levitating into stores September 29 on PS4 and Xbox One. While we beg for Kelly Slater Pro Surfer 2, you can generate some dopamine below.
Hoodrip, a new skate game for mobile coming straight outta’ Finland, get a little flirty with their glossy debut trailer. Negatives first, it seems feed off the skate stereotypes of last century. But hey, this ain’t no millennium spanning franchise, it’s still in it’s infancy so it’s a little too premature to talk down. Work your pineal gland.
