There’s plenty of money to be made if your podcast is postin big numbers.

Forbes have just released their list of top podcasts of last year based on app data and industry interviews, and it should come as no surprise that these podcasters are raking in some serious cash. Here are the top earners of last year:

Joe Rogan The Joe Rogan Experience – $45 million

Rogan’s combo of interviews with MMA fighters, politicians, scientists and adventurers is the world’s number one podcast. Apple says it gets as many as 190 million downloads per month.

Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark My Favourite Murder – $22.5 million

Murder definitely sells and don’t Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark know it. With five spinoff podcasts, a bestseller and a booming tour business, everyone is watching to see what will come next from these two.

Dave Ramsey The Dave Ramsey Show – $15 million

Everyone wants to make money right? Well, Dave Ramsey’s show is all about finance and financial advice, which on paper seems pretty dry, but who wouldn’t want advice on money from a guy who makes that kind of dough speaking into a microphone.

Dax Shepard Armchair Expert – $13.5 million

With guests from a wide variety of fields, including his actor pals, Dax Shepard’s podcast is set to focus on “the messiness of being human” – it turns out we don’t mind a bit of mess.

Bill Simmons The Bill Simmons Podcast – $10.5 million

Bill Simmons is a former ESPN commentator whose knowledge of American sports is near encyclopedic. On this podcast, he chats with a rotating crew of celebrities, athletes, and media staples, as well as mainstays like Cousin Sal, Joe House, who chat the biggest sports headlines of the moment.
