Very welcome news…

Vince Vaughan has confirmed the news we’ve all been hoping for, announcing that plans are indeed in motion for a sequel to the iconic Wedding Crashers film. The Hacksaw Ridge actor, who played the hilarious Jeremy Grey in the 2005 smash, has stated that he, Owen Wilson and the film’s Director David Dobkin are “seriously” discussing a second film.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Vaughan said “Owen and I and the director of Crashers have been talking for the first time seriously about a sequel to that movie. So there has been an idea that is pretty good. So we are talking about that in the early stages.”

This comes after Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams, who were also part of the first film, hinted earlier this year at writing already starting, saying “Wedding Crashers 2, yeah. I think we can just say it’s being written,” while hilariously adding “How about if it’s just the lawyers representing everyone in divorce court? And just make it like a legal courtroom drama, not funny at all.”

McAdams also seemed pretty down as well, saying “It’d be nice to go back and have a romp” with her co-stars.

No doubt we’re keen AF for this, check the trailer for the 2005 film below for a reminder of its comedic genius.
