Adam Driver, dinosaurs and time travel; what more could you ask for?

Star Wars alum Adam Driver is venturing back into the sci-fi world with his upcoming film, the Kylo Ren actor appearing in the trailer for 65. Written and directed by the brains behind A Quiet Place, the new film follows Driver’s character Mills, an astronaut who crash lands on Earth as it was 65 million years ago. Paired with the the only other survivor, Koa (played by Ariana Greenblatt), Driver must fight against dinosaurs and a range of other prehistoric creatures as they fight to survive.

The trailer embodies the gripping nature of the premise in spades, showcasing the visceral crash landing and the harshness of prehistoric terrain. The dinosaurs, however, are the true stars of the trailer, with the primal predators shown to utterly terrorise and stalk Driver and co. as the film goes from family-friendly sci-fi epic to a horror film reminiscent of the iconic Alien franchise. Driver manages to hold his own against his larger than life antagonists throughout the two-and-a-half minute trailer as well, proving that he’s just as gripping as a hero as he is a villain, especially when he assures Koa “You and I are gonna get home” at 2:10.

Just going off the trailer, the film looks promising to say the least. 65 lands in theatres on March 10 next year. Check out the full trailer below.
