Make it happen boys…

Sandler fans brace yourselves, as we might be getting a sequel to one of his greatest films ever (hot take I know). Linking up with his Happy Gilmore co-star Chris McDonald in a recent interview on The Dan Patrick Show, he definitely gave us enough hope to get wildly optimistic, after being asked whether there had been any discussions in Hollywood about a project.

After revealing that there hadn’t been any discussions in Hollywood (wait for it), Sandler did admit that there’s a a fucktonne of hype on social media just begging for a sequel. Then, Sandler basically threw his hat in, saying “it’d be amazing,” with the host asking “Can I greenlight this?” to which him and Chris McDonald wholeheartedly replied “Yes!”

Sandler’s also got a solid idea for a sequel should it ever happen, suggesting it could revolve around the two iconic characters competing on the senior golf tour (feel old yet?). He could definitely do it, recently posting a video to social media of him proving he’s still got the Happy Gilmore swing, and subsequently calling out Chris’ character Shooter McGavin. McGavin had a hilarious response too, showing off his own swing and proving he also has “still got it.”

Looks promising, fingers crossed we get that sequel soon. Check out Sandler and McDonald teasing us below.
