US singer and former lead vocalist of funk group Rufus, Chaka Khan, was enlisted to sing the national anthem ahead of the NBA All-Star game today and her performance has left many people scratching their heads. With more vocal shredding than an episode of The Voice, the 66-year-old held nothing back, though some people may wish she had.

What ppl need to understand is, yes, most of you didn’t like her representation of the national anthem, but that’s how she sings.
