’80s kids rejoice! The universally-loved reboot of the ’80s classic Karate Kid, Cobra Kai, is making its way to Netflix, with the first two seasons to drop on the service this Friday. Starring William Zabka and Ralph Macchio from the original flick as Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso, the film follows the pair 30 years on from the 1984 All Valley Karate tournament, each facing their own struggles in the modern day.
The trailer covers all the important stuff from seasons one & two (as well as the original film), along with teasing season three for 2021 and a certain revelation LaRusso is set to make about his OG mentor Mr. Miyagi. Pat Morita, the actor who played Miyagi, passed away in 2005, but no doubt his presence will be felt in the new season more than ever.
The show was originally produced as a YouTube Premium exclusive series, but moved over to Netflix after the low success of the initial platform. We definitely can’t wait for it to debut at its new home. Check the full trailer below.
