Man Denis Villeneuve is a genius…

After months of waiting, yearning and speculation, Denis Villeneuve has come through with the trailer for his inter-planetary epic Dune. Boasting a star-studded cast featuring the likes of Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac and numerous more, the film sees Villeneuve continuing the artistic triumph of 2017’s Bladerunner 2049, crafting a fully immersive world defined by a sharp visual acuity and emotional resonance.

Adapted from the classic sci-fi novel, the story follows Chalamet’s character Paul Atreides as he travels to one of the most dangerous planets in the universe, fighting for the future of his people and family. The world Veilenvue crafts in the trailer is properly intoxicating, so much so you feel drenched in the danger and hostility inherent to Dune’s characters, environments and core themes.

It’s definitely gonna be a cultural moment, and will no doubt fans will be absolutely entranced when it comes out in cinemas December 18. Check the full trailer below.
