One of the shortest teaser trailers in recorded history…

In the wake of last year’s Post Covid and Post Covid: Covid Returns, South Park creators Trey Park and Matt Stone are gearing up to release another South Park TV movie, revealing the trailer for the upcoming full-length South Park: The Streaming Wars.

Set to arrive on Paramount+ on June 1st, the film marks the third instalment of a planned 14 TV films which will continue to roll out until 2027. It appears The Streaming Wars will differ to its predecessors however in that it’ll diverge from COVID, opting for an existential conflict between lead character Cartman and his mother, with an official synopsis reading “Cartman locks horns with his mom in a battle of wills, while an epic conflict unfolds and threatens South Park’s very existence.”

The teaser doesn’t give us a whole lot to go off, the 15-second snippet treating us to a lone scene of Cartman making baby noises at his mom Liane (so just regular Cartman behaviour), but given Trey Park and Matt Stone’s track record as of late, we’re guessing it’ll more than live up to the hype. Check out the full teaser below.
