No doubt that Papa John made countless dollars as hard of the Papa John empire, peddling out enough pies and pizza to feed a small country. And even though he might not be running the huge pizza chain anymore, he’s by no means doing it tough on the money side, if his recent tour of the “Papa Castle” is anything to go off.
Joining TikTok like any sensible person would do in these Corona times, the former CEO gave us a rare look into his home and it’s the most Papa John thing we’ve ever seen.
The virtual tour is 55 seconds of millionaire pure, with the mansion featuring embellished stone flooring, long coral curtains and, wait for it, a huge sculpture of two eagles mating while falling in the air. It apparently doubles as a clock, “an eagles mating clock” to be exact, which he claims spins “four times an hour.”
“Eagles go up several thousand feet and mate all the way down. Right before they hit, they separate so they don’t get hurt or killed,” he says in the video. “Perfect timing.”

Imagine having a huge eagle mating sculpture that doubles as a clock. I know this year has been whacky to say the least, but damn I think this eagle sculpture is definitely in the running for one of the strangest things of 2020.
