Larry David would be proud…

Developers are hard at work to secure the rights to make a Seinfeld video game “about nothing”, and we’re convinced this needs to happen immediately.

They’re planning for the game to involve point-and-click gameplay, as well as puzzle-solving, item collecting and hilarious conflict from miscommunication or meaningless objects. All original stories in the game are said to be written from the perspectives of Jerry, George and Elaine, with Kramer appearing as a non-playable “wild card” character (which makes perfect sense).

The entire game synopsis is on the developer’s website, but the basic outline is that Jerry is trying to break up with a girl via email (because that’s the only way to do it), but he wants to get the movie tickets she promised him before he does so. Jerry you goldigger, you.

The trailer ends with the developers appearing as in-game characters, asking fans to spread the word about their passion project. Their aiming to make the game “the official way” by obtaining the rights from Sony, as they stress that they need “real actual, real internet people to show that there is a demand for it”. We’re sure there is, and we know without a doubt we’ll be seeing this beauty gracing screens around the world real soon.
