Answering the worlds call for laughter and levity, Anchorman stars Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd are reuniting for Apple’s new dark comedy series The Shrink Next Door, based on the podcast that Apple had to fight to get the rights to.

The limited series will consist of eight-episodes, all inspired by true event concerning the relationship between a psychiatrist to the stars Dr. Isaac (played by Rudd) and his long-time patient Martin Markowitz (played by Ferrell), and explore how Isaac ends up taking over Marty’s life, from moving into his home to taking over his family business. It’s a fascinating look into how a normal doctor-patient relationship can become exploitative and toxic.

Sold yet? Regardless if you are or not, this sounds like the ultimate show for those interested in the workings of the mind, and you just know that Rudd and Ferrell will bring all the laughs, the seriousness and rawness that defines their large acting ranges.
