Newcastle & Byron Bay connect on this new collaboration between Abicus & Thrills – tapping some extraordinary local talent to craft custom jackets in support of a good cause.

A Novocastrian staple on the music and fashion scene, Abicus will be celebrating its 16th birthday this year – and the birthday party is going down in-store tomorrow on November 24! For the event, they’re teaming up with Byron legends Thrills, and together they’ve grabbed 16 artists from their respective cities. Each artist has weaved their magic on a Thrills denim jacket, making for some pretty bold and diverse creations. Just look at Tabitha McGregor’s joint below – after all, who doesn’t want to wear a jacket with an eagle and flames on it? Boom:

The 16 jackets will be on display at Abicus’ birthday jam, which will also have eats, crews, live music and a special surprise guest. We love surprises! Meanwhile, you can bid on the jackets online right here for some worthy wardrobe additions. Furthermore, 100% of the proceeds from the jackets will be going towards Headspace – an organisation dedicated to addressing mental health with youths.
