To be honest, we didn’t have the one on our bingo card for 2022. Sure, Elton John is a fashion enigma, known far and wide for rocking countless flamboyant pieces throughout his decades in the limelight, but streetwear? The move seems far removed from the singer’s iconic style and wardrobe, but thankfully, the new drop more than lives up to the hype.
The collection comes via streetwear and skateboard brand Palace, who have created a capsule to celebrate the ‘Tiny Dancer’ singer’s most iconic looks. Notable highlights include the music legend’s iconic velour tracksuit (which he started rocking in his 60s) and a knitted jumper, with a range of short and long sleeve shirts to tie it all together. The platinum-selling artist’s face can be seen all over the new collection (including the Dodger Stadium-inspired skate deck), along with his signature “EJ” branding, in what’s a full celebration of his fashion evolution.
Speaking on the nostalgia the collab evokes, the ‘Cold Heart’ singer explains, “I’m always looking to the future, but the range brings back some fantastic memories. It really captures the essence of youth and freedom from my time on the road in the ’70s. I’ve never been a skateboarder but that’s not going to stop me wearing the lot.”

If you’re like me and have somehow still managed to not see the singers’ Rocketman biopic from 2019, we’re guessing this drop will not only give you a similar chronological outline of his rise to the top, but the iconic fits he rocked along the way. Check out some more pieces from the collection below and be sure to shop it here when it drops this Friday.
