The ‘New Explorer’ collection sees Brixton at their most versatile.

Having outgrown and expanded on their humble beginnings as master crafters of hats, it feels like the release of Brixton’s collections have become some of our most-anticipated drops in the calendar year. The comfy ranges seem to hit that sweet spot between casual and crisp, with their pillars of music, art and adventure forming a solid basis for each drop.

Now they share ‘New Explorer’, a collection that exudes rugged durability thanks to the workwear and military silhouettes, while maintaining refined urban colours and patterns. Brixton say they “set out to design a range that balances functional style that is at home on city streets, or the roads less travelled,” and it’s hard to argue with them having viewed their execution.

Highlights included the ‘Utopia’ jacket, which comes in navy cord, a rust-tinged caramel, and gingham varieties, as well as their range of flannels that celebrate nontraditional colourings. Combined with their ever-reliable range of headwear that includes buckets, full-brimmed fedoras and caps, and it’s clear that there’s something for everyone – from the urban cowboys, to the street skaters, to the nature seekers.
