A collab with a bit of a sting…

The kind of gnawing sting that will sizzle in your mind until you cop at least a few pieces from this drop which sees Byron Bay heavyweights Thrills and Epokhe deliver something that simultaneously taps into both Thrills’ penchant for up-to-the-minute design with Epøkhe’s outsider status.

The centrepiece of the drop is undoubtedly the sunnies which come in purple/silver and black/gold colourways and feature a custom scorpion insignia over the understated Reprise silhouette. The sleek and nostalgic vibe of the sunnies, which are sustainably crafted with bio-acetate, feels like it was aimed directly someone who appreciates an elevated look but doesn’t need to scream about it.

The accompanying components of the release are far beyond filler items too. Here, the scorpion totem is once again put to work, but in differently ways; on the hat and tote, the graphic is repeated giving it this barbed wire-like pattern, laser-ecthed into the denim. The tee and socks, however feature more subtle use of the scorpion which contributes to their glitchy feel.

It’s one of those rare capsules where you could actually wear each piece at the same time without feeling like you’re flashing a billboard for your favourite brand(s).
