Pharrell Williams is seemingly on top of the world following his critically-acclaimed Louis Vuitton fashion show, the multi-talented producer and fashion designer debuting his first menswear collection for the luxury brand to critical acclaim. It comes following numerous hints and glimpses of his new role as the Creative Director at Louis Vuitton, and thankfully, it seems his debut has lived up to the hype and then some.
Taking over the streets of Paris and the Pont Neuf Bridge, Williams unveiled the new pieces from the Spring/Summer collection with the backing of a full gospel choir, the vocalists soundtracking the catwalk as onlookers watched on from the wings. Speaking on onlookers, old mate invited pretty much every cool A-Lister to come watch his half hour flexing session, with the likes of Zendaya, Beyoncè, Jay-Z, A$AP Rocky and a pregnant Rihanna all looking on in support. Of course, all of whom were adorned in various Louis Vuitton threads and accessories (definitely need an ID on those sunnies Beyoncè was wearing).

The choir wasn’t the only musical performance on show however, with Hov himself jumping on the mic soon after. Surrounded by onlookers, he showed that despite his fashionable surrounds, he’s still from the streets, rapping with the same intensity that defined early works like The Blueprint and Reasonable Doubt.

All of this comes as Pharrell makes his entry into the skate world with the launch of his new Louis Vuitton skateboard account. In classic Pharrell fashion, the first post of the account features him holding a gold deck while donning a “Ye must be Born again” hoodie. Understandably, fans are theorising that its in reference to Kanye West, however, Pharrell himself is yet to comment on its meaning. Since then, he’s continued to show off pieces from his Louis Vuitton range, with the highlight no doubt being a leather jacket with gold jewels adorned on the rear.
