Fashion week will head down under from May 9…

There’s few events on Sydney’s social calendar quite like the Afterpay Australian Fashion week, and the hype has today been intensified with IMG’s announcement of a series of designer runway shows. Set to take the stage when fashion week kicks off at Redfern’s Carriageworks on May 9, ‘The Experience’ runway series will feature some of Australia’s best emerging and established designers on a nightly basis from 8pm. 

Showcasing a range of Indigenous, sustainable and fashion-forward brands across its week-long roster, the runway series lists Native Swimwear, Ngali, Hansen & Gretel, Cue and Oroton among its blockbuster lineup, with food and drink sponsors promising what will be the must-see event of the year. Speaking of the festivities, IMG’s  Vice President Natalie Xenita said “the five-day program offers fans a truly unmatched experience featuring runway shows from some of the newest and most notable names in Australian fashion.”
