Nothings gonna stop Yeezy…

Kanye West has finally announced a release date for the highly-anticipated YEEZY Foam Runner during a conversation with Pharrell Williams for I-D “The Faith In Chaos”. The runners were first teased in early 2019 by Kanye’s daughter North West and were also featured at 2020’s London Fashion week.

The wide-ranging conversation between the two Hip Hop legends covered everything from music, Michael Jackson and each other’s fashion influence. In between it all, Kanye let slip his plans for the Foam Runner, concerning their release and their plans for manufacturing, stating “We’re sitting here in Wyoming figuring out how to do manufacturing during COVID-19 pandemic. The Foam Runners we’re coming out with in June are our first American manufactured items and we gotta figure out how to do localized manufacturing.”

The Foam Runners are definitely a hot topic in the sneaker world, with it’s unusual ship and croc-like design tearing Yeezy fashion fans in two.

West is yet to announce a a specific day or price point for the Foam Runners, but no doubt we can expect them to hit shelves before the end of the month. Fingers crossed we get to see these bad boys in the flesh real soon…
