The basketball-inspired sneaker is known as the the Nike Air Fear of God 1.

As you can see from the pics below, Nike’s first collaborative project with fashion giant Jerry Lorenzo – and hopefully not their last – has just produced one of the best looking sneakers of the year. The sneaker, which was born out of Lorenzo’s nostalgia for 80’s and 90’s sports fashion, strives to remind people of the impact that professional athletes like Andre Agassi and Michael Jordan once had on style.

“It is a shoe that should only be judged by the emotion it gives the kid when he first sees it — however it makes him feel. We live in a day and age when images are leaked left and right, and products are leaked without consideration and emotional attachments. I’m aiming to give a visceral experience whether the kid sees it first on Ben Simmons coming into the arena or worn by his favorite athletes on court,” Lorenzo says of the shoe.

The Fear of God x Nike collaboration, which includes a select capsule of clothing, will be releasing on December 15th from select retailers and Nike’s webstore.
