The New York pub with an Aussie soul, Old Mates, has linked up with Australia’s most legendary dog (sorry Bluey), the Mambo pup.

When you set up camp in a different country, you often find yourself searching for signs of home for comfort, and if that comfort comes in the form of a pub, well even better. Now we’re not suggesting for a minute that Mambo’s iconic Farting Dog was walking the streets of New York one night and stumbled into Old Mates, but it’s a bloody nice thought that the two have found each other.

And it’s more than just a friendship — it’s birthed the Mambo x Old Mates limited-edition drop, which features a Loud Shirt, Classic Cap, Dog Bandana and Mambo x Old Mates Tee, each a nostalgic nod to Mambo’s irreverent heritage. Even the iconic Farting Dog is getting a New York makeover, pint in paw and all.

To mark this momentous collaboration, they’re throwing the Mambo & Mutts: Sunday Tailgate at Old Mates, a one-day-only celebration bringing Aussie energy to the heart of Manhattan. Kicking off from 11am to 1pm on Sunday 26 October at Old Mates Pub, 170 John St, New York, the event will roll straight into a proper Sunday sesh as the NFL kicks off.

Expect Mambo prints, Aussie tunes, dogs in team colours, giveaways, and a classic sausage sizzle, along with the first chance to get your hands on the limited-edition Mambo x Old Mates capsule collection. The range will be for sale exclusively at the pub — go grab yourself a piece of Aussie history!
