Black and white high fashion is my crack.

Photographer Henrik Purienne and Saint Laurent Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello have today shared a little taste of their latest collaborative venture, a brooding and playfully voyeuristic photo book titled Rive Droite Editions Purienne. It’s the fourth release from Saint Laurent’s new publishing house Rive Droite and follows on from their Derek Ridgers fanzine, which dropped in Feb.

But enough of all those difficult-to-translate words – let’s talk pictures. Here, Purienne seems to capture perfectly candid and unguarded moments with the models, whilst maintaining that Saint Laurent sophistication. The (sometimes washed-out) black and white elevates each moment, bolstering the vintage feel of the heritage buildings in the background of some of the snaps.
