Aside from spearheading grime’s movement towards global recognition, UK emcee Skepta has also been a longtime sportswear enthusiast – and it looks like he has an upcoming collaboration with Nike ready to be revealed.

Over the weekend, posters were spotted around London bearing a Nike logo – similar to one that appears on the heel of the brand’s infamous Tuned Air sneakers – with the letters ‘Sk’ substituted in the graphic. Websites like Hypebeast reported that the posters signalled Nike’s “long awaited collaboration with a well-known UK entertainment figure,” as seen below:

While many online commentators guessed that the ‘Sk’ stood for ‘Sickunt,’ a more accurate estimate pointed towards Skepta. Last year, he was primed to release an all-black Air max sneaker aptly titled the ‘Blacklisted’ BW – and while that was never released, it seems like his relationship with the Swoosh is still going strong. Now, Skepta himself has posted images of the same logo to his Instagram account, all but confirming the upcoming collaboration:

Still, there are plenty of questions that fans are asking: Which sneaker silhouette will Skepta be gracing? Will the Tracksuit Mafia member actually drop an accompanying tracksuit? Some of our sources are stating that there’ll be three sneakers from the BBK member – including a TN – but no matter what he drops, we’re expecting it to sell out in a flash. Having already worked with everyone from Uniqlo to No Fear in recent months, Skepta is keeping his fashion collaborations rolling along strongly.

Stay tuned for the release details, and you can hear Skepta talk about the role of Nike Air Max in the grime scene in the video below:
