Feels like we’re seeing the Super Lowpro everywhere at the moment.

The silhouette that is undeniably inspired by ’80s trainers has — purely from our observations — already become a mainstay in wardrobes around the country. With the first versions dropping just last year, it’s clear there’s an appetite for the Super Lowpro, and Vans know it too.

Having introduced us to the Pig Suede in brown and black, we’re now able to shop the most elevated iteration of the shoe: the Pony Hair in both Brown and Black.

Like Super Lowpros previous, it carries all the details that have made the silhouette stick: lace-up closure, padded tongue, perforated side panels, and the heel moustache for added structure. Underfoot, there’s an EVA midsole and wedge to keep things lightweight, an OrthoLite foam insole for cushioning, minimal lining for a softer feel, and the signature waffle outsole for grip.

The real point of difference is the pony hair upper. Across both the brown and black versions, it adds texture, depth, and a slightly more refined edge. There’s something that feels a little more clean about these shoes, without losing the ease that’s made the Super Lowpro so wearable.
