Vans’ latest venture sees them team up with one of hip-hop’s most coveted outfits in A Tribe Called Quest.

Having won over earholes since rap’s golden era in the 90s, it’s only appropriate that A Tribe Called Quest have graced some of Vans’ most classic silhouettes in the new collection – the Slip-On, Old Skool, Authentic, Sk8-Hi and Era. The shoes take us on a visual journey down the group’s expansive catalogue, with album art plastered on the uppers and being incorporated more intricately with embroidery.

There’s also lyrics on shoelaces as an ode to their 1990 anthem ‘Bonita Applebum’ on the SK8-Hi, while the Authentic honours late member Phife Dawg with his name printed in bold, animated text printed throughout. If you like your footwear loud with a dash of throwback New York flavour, then this will do the trick. The collaboration will be available from April 6th, head to Vans’ online or IRL to cop, as well as selected Hype DC stores.
