Vans dive headfirst into nostalgia galore with their latest collaboration, teaming up with Nintendo do give their most iconic sneakers an 8-but makeover with heavy nods to the 90s.

Vans silhouettes have become a blank canvas in their 50-year history – being adorned with endless designs that continue to revamp and revitalise the sneakers in ways that we could’ve never imagined. Their Nintendo collaboration is a definite head-turner, heralding some classic cartridge games that ruled your childhood. Before the Internet, it was Mario, Princess Peach and that cheeky fucker Toad who became your virtual friends – and don’t forget Donkey Kong with his notable barrel-throwing and banana-eating skills.

Now, those same memories have been resurrected in shoe form, with all-over prints honouring your favourite characters and the Nintendo consoles themselves. For a more turnt down appraoch, the Old Skool sees the iconic Vans stripe become digitalised and instantly recognisable for gamers and geeks of yesteryear.

See some of the Vans & Nintendo collaboration collection below, and if anybody has a spare console lying around, bring it over to LWA headquarters so we can get drunk and play Duck Hunter tomorrow afternoon. Shop it all right here:
