Hulu has released the trailer for season two of it’s much-hyped biopic series, ‘Wu-Tang: An American Saga.’ Coming ahead of the premiere on August 8, the inspirational clip sees the ensemble cast, from Ashton Sanders as RZA to Dave East as The Method Man himself, reprise their dramatised roles as the renowned ‘90s hip-hop group.
Co-created by Wu-Tang Clan member RZA, the sophomore series will move beyond the origin stories of 2019’s season and focus on the clan’s development of their debut album, ‘Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).’
Backed by some of the LP’s most enduring track samples (like the ear-worm opener for ‘Da mystery of Chessboxin,’) the trailer follows the newly-formed group as they sharpen their musical swords. After trademarking their now-notorious name and meeting with their soon-to-be label DefJam, the collective sets their sights on “changing the entire industry.”
Spoiler alert… they more than succeed. Peep the full trailer below, and catch season 2 of ‘Wu-Tang: An American Saga’ streaming on Hulu now.
