Do you watch The Voice? Yeah me either. I swear*. But last night I happened to be walking by the TV and my housemate was tuning into it, so I thought, ‘why not’ and parked myself on the couch. The next thing I know I was tranfixed by the flowing locks and the wondrous voice of 16-year-old Adam Ludewig.
The Adelaide native was singing ‘Leave a Light On’ by British singer-songwriter Tom Walker and seemingly blew away the judges – Boy George, Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian and Kelly Rowland – all of which turned their chairs (which apparently is pretty good).
A modest Kid, Adam suffers from autism and ADHD which makes his success even more impressive. Just don’t ask him to chop the mullet. ‘Mate, the mullet is here to stay. It’s business at the front, party at the back,” he said to the Adelaide Advertiser. “I didn’t want a mullet like everyone else, I wanted my own version of the mullet.’
