Located at Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast, the store has a heavy emphasis on Adidas’ street heritage, with an ICONS campaign showcasing two of the three stripes’ most celebrated sneakers: the Superstar and Stan Smith. Indeed, both shoes are versatile staples that everyone should have in their wardrobe, no matter the brand preference, and new iterations will be sold at Adidas’ new store.
Building upon the concept of ICONS, Adidas has collaborated with Queensland music photographer Savannah van der Niet, with some of her most prized shots being shown and sold in the store – including out favourites like Tame Impala, Dune Rats and Banoffee.
“Music has been an integral part of forming my identity. The photos I’ve taken over the last few years are a literal moment in time, but also a snippet of myself at that time – the gigs I was going to, the people I was meeting at them. The theme ICONS for this exhibition is tailored to ICONS of Australian music, at whatever point of their career,” she explains.
