A huge accolade for the Aussie star.

While most festivals around the world suffer from an undeniable under-representation of women on their lineups, Australian breakout star Anna Lunoe has just made history by becoming the first solo female to perform on the main stage at EDC – what she describes as ‘the biggest stage in America’.

Anna Lunoe earned her stripes in Sydney’s club circuit – both as a solo performer and member of Hoops alongside Nina Las Vegas & Bad Ezzy – before moving to America to pursue her production dreams. She already had collaborations with then-emerging stars like Flume & Touch Sensitive, but took it to the next level internationally with records released on OWSLA and Ultra that featured her own production and vocals. Her extensive touring and festival appearances culminated in this history-making performance at EDC in Las Vegas over the weekend.

One of the biggest electronic festivals in the world, it’s a huge accolade for the local lady who hasn’t stopped since heading to the United States some four years ago. While Krewella performed on the main stage back in 2014, Lunoe is the first to do it solo – and another Australian, Alison Wonderland is live streaming from that same stage right now:

Reflecting on the moment, Lunoe wrote wrote:

Three cheers for Anna Lunoe:
