Between her work on Apple Music’s DanceXL and her Create/Destroy podcast, multi-talented producer Anna Lunoe is still finding time to churn out hits…

And her first solo release of 2022 ‘Double Dip’ is no exception, the Sydney producer drawing from all corners of her eclectic discography for a club-ready heater. Fusing the worlds of techno and house with a wealth of bass underpinning it all, the new track sees the veteran producer utilise floor-to-the-floor rhythms with murky synths, crafting a heavy-hitting soundscape that’s primed for packed moshpits and dance floors.

In a nice addition, Lunoe embeds the vocals of Los Angeles pop singer Madison Rose throughout the single’s three-minute runtime, her laid-back delivery adding a distinct sense of attitude and danger to the arrangement, most notably on the hook “Lick Lick Lick Lick / Tastes good, so I double dip”.

Accompanying the new single is a mind-melding visualiser that brings the official ‘Double Dip’ artwork to life. As a result, the colours and shapes of the single artwork mesh and collide in time with the sonics, furthering the overall immersion of the production layers that make up ‘Double Dip’.

Speaking on how the new heater came together, the international export explains, “This little vocal came out of a session I did in mid-2019 with Madison Rose. Over the past two years, at least three other producers heard it through my publishers and asked to work on it but I just couldn’t give it away! I knew at some point I would have the right moment to make the track for it.”

With last year’s ‘Back Seat’ ft. Genesis Owusu and now ‘Double Dip’, it seems the Coachella alum is on a real hot streak right now, and we’re keen to see what she serves up next. Anna Lunoe’s new single ‘Double Dip’ is out now. You can buy/stream it here.
