After lending his production talents to Kanye West, Bjork and FKA twigs over the last two years, Venezuelan-born producer Arca dropped his debut LP “Xen” to a thunderous response last year, equal parts weird and daring, he released the tracks with Jesse Kanda’s film-clips of the album’s fictional heroine, terrifyingly gyrating, or exploding into his classical-music inspired beats.

Today, Arca debut’s a new single called “Washed Out’ via his Soundcloud, the first track not produced for other’s or from his album for sometime. A series of whooshing electronic tones separating by quiet pauses; it’s all the moody, abstraction and unsettling tones we’ve come to expect from the talented musician. And hopefully a sign of a new album.
