Australia’s world-conquering punks have dropped a bloody masterpiece.

Well, today we have it. After drip-feeding us singles over the past couple of months, Amyl & The Sniffers have gone and released their magnum opus onto the world. Cartoon Darkness is not only the height of their songwriting ability but also the awakening of this wholly empowered version of frontwoman Amy Taylor, one that had always been projected on previous records, but now is fully in flight.

Over the course of the album’s 13 tracks, the band drop more hooks than their previous LPs combined, with the production feeling extremely polished for a band who like to keep things extremely gritty and raw. The vocals pop, the bass sounds super and the guitars are dense in the best kind of way.

The group have also announced a massive Aus 2025 tour that will see them play stages that must’ve felt like a dream back when they dropped their self-titled 2019 debut LP. We’re talking Hordern-sized venues. Check out the dates and locations below and head here for ticketing info.
