We first fell in love with Los Bitchos at SXSW. We were chatting to them in a beer-soaked room above a beer-soaked pub in the city – it was nice. Later that night we saw them play and they absolutely blew our haircuts away. Groovy indie psych radiated through the room as the band completely charmed the sweaty venue. From then, we’ve been diehard fans. And now, we finally have a chance to catch up again…
Los Bitchos are hitting Australian stages once more, and it’s a chance to experience the band’s infectious live energy firsthand. If you’re not already acquainted with their back catalogue, now’s the time to dive in and get familiar – you won’t regret it.
They’ll be supporting Leon Bridges in Sydney and Melbourne, with headline shows in Melbs, Adelaide, and Perth. Plus, they’ll be hitting NZ for shows in Auckland and Hawkes Bay – tickets here.
It caps a blockbuster few years for the group, who are like a mixed box of chocolates in terms of nationalities. There’s lead guitarist Serra Petale, who blends her Australian and Turkish roots, Uruguayan synth and keytar player Agustina Ruiz, Swedish bassist Josefine Jonsson, and British drummer Nic Crawshaw. Anyways, start listening and we’ll see you at a show!
