If there was one festival set I could burn into my memory…

Despite being absolutely knackered from one of the biggest NYE’s in recent memory, we managed to back it up at Field Day in the Domain yesterday for some of the best artists in dance, hip hop and more that music has to offer. Spoiled with the likes of Mall Grab, Central Cee, Genesis Owusu G Flip and more, we couldn’t ask for more as we pushed past our NYE hangovers to start 2024.

Of course, we were just a bit spent by the time we got to Sydney’s own, RÜFÜS DU SOL, whose set was at 9:30, but the veteran sonic weavers came in clutch, playing out their latest album, 2021’s Surrender, out in its entirety.

Of course, tracks like ‘On My Knees’, ‘Alive’ and ‘Next To Me’ went off with a bang, however, it was during the iconic ‘Innerbloom’ where we well and truly transcended, with the Aussie mainstays playing out the full version to the raving Field Day crowd. Naturally, the whole of the Domain broke out in song as they sang the hallowed words that have captivated dance floors for years on end, and we’re not being at all hyperbolic here when we say that the 2024 rendition of the Hot 100 favourite might just be its best yet.

Understandably, we’re back in our RÜFÜS loverboy era, hence why they’re our Boost Artist of the Week. Revisit ‘Innerbloom’ above Joshua Tree performance below for a splash of good vibes.
