At the 2024 ARIA Awards, Sivan had a night to remember, taking home three of the evening’s biggest honours: Album of the Year, Best Solo Artist, and Best Pop Release, all for Something To Give Each Other. The album, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart and in the Top 5 in the UK, New Zealand, Belgium, and the Netherlands, has racked up 1.4 billion global streams, with tracks like Rush and Got Me Started breaking records along the way.
The inspiration behind the album? A mix of heartbreak, lockdown reflections, and a life-changing one-night stand. During his ARIA acceptance speech, Sivan shared how an unexpected connection with a stranger helped him tap into the emotional core of his music. And in a plot twist straight out of a rom-com, Sivan revealed that the mystery man ended up being a fan of the very album inspired by their brief encounter.

Sivan also made headlines for a cheeky moments at the ARIAs… After dropping an F-bomb during an interview (he forgot to plug his new partnership with Smirnoff), he laughed it off, which only served to further endear him to all of us watching along at home.
And the momentum doesn’t stop there. Sivan’s Something To Give Each Other tour has been selling out across Australia, and his recent Grammy nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording for Got Me Started adds another milestone to his already impressive career. Plus, with his new role as Smirnoff’s Chief Vibe Officer, it’s clear that Sivan is enjoying every moment, both on and off the stage.
