The inspiration behind the album? A mix of heartbreak, lockdown reflections, and a life-changing one-night stand. During his ARIA acceptance speech, Sivan shared how an unexpected connection with a stranger helped him tap into the emotional core of his music. And in a plot twist straight out of a rom-com, Sivan revealed that the mystery man ended up being a fan of the very album inspired by their brief encounter.

Sivan also made headlines for a cheeky moments at the ARIAs… After dropping an F-bomb during an interview (he forgot to plug his new partnership with Smirnoff), he laughed it off, which only served to further endear him to all of us watching along at home.
