If you don’t mind the odd late-night session, sweaty dancefloor or rave, you’ve probably seen the name Tyson Bruun pop up — a lineup here, a flyer there, or on someone’s wristband after a big one. The rising Sydney producer has become a steady presence across parties like SASH, Mantra Collective, Bare Essentials and Subsonic.
Now he’s stepped things up with a new release on Tanjun — the label he runs — and it’s a tidy showcase of where his sound is sitting right now.
The EP opens with ‘Future’, a rolling, bass-heavy cut lifted by dreamy pads and Tyson’s signature deep, driving groove. Soundboy shifts gears into house-and-garage energy, blending dub-leaning vocals with lush chords that hit in all the right ways. ‘Dialogue’ goes even deeper, pushed by rumbling low-end and a vocal hook that locks you straight into the mix.
Christopher Ledger closes things out with an atmospheric, bass-forward remix — fast, detailed, and built for the dancers who aren’t thinking about heading home anytime soon. Check it out below and follow Tyson Bruun here.
