After a blissful summer season that has seen The Abercrombie Hotel become one of the crown jewels of Sydney’s nightlife, the mainstay has now announced a brand new Sunday party called Channel. Set to feature a variety of electronic music from both local and global dance music communities, the event will be curated in collaboration with Bizarro Life and will run from 6pm to the early hours of the morning (make sure to double up on those Vodka Red Bulls). And in an important addition, Channel will also offer accessible pricing, with free entry before 8PM, which is particularly welcome news to my ever-dwindling bank account.
We’ve also gotten a peak at the debut lineup. Scheduled for April 2nd, the festivities will be headlined by the likes of Naarm/Melbourne-based artists Moopie, Fibre Optixxx, and Tangerine, who will be joined by local selectors Reenie and Mazzacles on the main stage. It’s a crackling lineup for any adherent of the dance genre, and if the last couple of parties at the Abercrombie are anything to go off (most notably the NLV Laneway After Party, Extract The Motion and numerous more), this is set to become a staple for the local dance scene
