To all aspiring musos and artists, you’re in luck, as Vans are giving you the chance to live your creative dreams to the fullest with its 2021 ‘Musicians Wanted’ Competition, for which submissions are now open.

Launched last year as a digital contest and receiving over 22,000 artist submissions across nearly every music genre from around the world (resulting in the UK’s JoeJas, Argentina’s Lucia Tacchetti ad Korea’s numnum being included in the winners), ‘Musicians Wanted’ serves as an extension of the brand’s platform for creative self-expression, and they’re set on making an even bigger impact in 2021.

It’s not just your usual competition however, as Vans have pulled together some pretty crazy rewards for the winners, with regional grand prize winners receiving Vans product, Fender gear, global music distribution, Spotify and Apple Music playlisting and the opportunity to share the stage with YUNGBLUD in front of live audiences as the opening act in 2022. Along with this, the top five finalists from each region will be chosen to perform at the Vans ‘Musicians Wanted’ virtual concert series, which will be held this September.

There are a tonne of rewards on offer, and with it comes a lot of responsibility. Not just for the winners, but for the judges as well, their collective decision almost guaranteed to change the life of multiple artists. But they’re more than up to the task, with Vans placing the task with none other than Florida rapper Denzel Curry, Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Julia Michaels, 88rising founder Sean Miyashiro and the already mentioned Yungblud, who will be serving as the official judges for ‘Musicians Wanted’ 2021.

It’s a pretty sick opportunity that any muso would kill for, and all you have to do is submit your original music to vans.com/mw. Submissions are open from July 7 to July 23, so be sure to get cracking. Best of luck!
