Following a quiet 2022 that’s seen him play the occasional festival and lock himself in the studio, elusive producer Badrapper today returns with one of his most explosive tracks yet, ‘X Games’.

Featuring local rappers Nerve and Babyface Mal, the new offering from the sonic maestro sees him double down on the trap-infused sonic palette he burst onto the scene with, but with a fast paced energy that’s totally infectious.

Rappers Merve and Babyface Mal both rise to the occasion as well, coming through with slick bars and fast-paced delivery that helps to push the track into overdrive. The production is crafted around them with perfect precision, the various synths and drum lines interwoven with their vocals to maximise the synchronicity of the overall soundscape.

Speaking on his long-awaited return, Badrapper explains, “I’m really stoked to be back putting something out on the Badrapper artist side project, after spending most of COVID writing songs for rappers and getting placements away it feels like the natural transition to bring some of that back into what I’m doing with electronic music, looking forward to sharing more of what is in store for this project.”
