Set up your tents early and get settled before sundown, because the Carlton Dry Yard Party is hitting the Splendour In The Grass site with full force. It’s going down on July 21, and will be a precursor for everything to come over the weekend with a formidable line-up of selectors to get things heated. Headlining the whole affair is the infamous Bang Gang: Sydney dancefloor pioneers and party-starting experts who melted every club they set foot in throughout the 2000s. Jamie Doom and Beni will be representing the stable with a set of classics, and these guys know a thing or two about the Golden Era of turn-ups. Emerging talent Amastro will be warming the stage for the headliners, proving why he’s one of the more interesting producers to emerge from the nation’s capital.
With their own festival taking place this year in the picturesque waters of Fiji, Your Paradise DJs will be bringing the summer vibes. Meanwhile on the fashion front, our mates from Zanerobe, Barney Cools and VOT Clothing will be looking slick as ever when they also step behind the decks. Mutual Friends DJs will be heading down from Brisbane to bring more local club flavour, while Metric DJs top off the solid line-up. What’s more? All the DJs will be playing on top of a goddamn Calrton Dry truck.
Carlton Dry will also be bringing their own beverage by introducing the Dry Garita. Mixing beers with a dash of tequila and some other Mexican-inspired goodness, the cocktail will be available exclusively at the Yard Party for 12 bones, so go ahead and treat yourself! We’ll see you and a few Dry Garitas on Thursday night, and this Bang Gang mix has us feeling pretty fantastic/crying tears of nostalgia:
