Basenji is back. Happy Friday!

Despite playing sets at Australia’s premium festivals – as well as sizeable American shows with Future Classic colleague Flume – Sydney producer Basenji hasn’t released an original single in close to two years. Today, he returns in shimmering form with a brand new joint titled ‘Don’t Let Go’ after a fresh premiere from Triple J.

With dreamy synths and floating vocals from Mereki, Basenji continues his explorations of a pastel fantasyland, whisking listeners along gently through his exciting sonic journey. It’s another gem from Sydney’s beat scene that’s grabbing plenty of international attention, and an indication of more pop-heavy sweetness from Basenji over the next few months.
