Can’t wait…

In the latest example of the ever-so-resilient nature of the music industry, BBC Radio 1 has announced that it’s Big Weekend festival is going virtual, featuring performances from past years as well as brand new sets from artists’ in their homes.

Past performances will include sets from artists such as A$AP Rocky in 2013, Nas in 2012, and Jay-Z in 2012 just to name a few. Meanwhile, artists like Sam Smith, the Jonas Brothers will be performing from the comfort of their own homes. There’ll also be sets from artists like Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and Stormzy airing at the same time. We also gotta give BBC props for putting extra effort into the EDM acts this year, with artists like Disclosure and Bicep taking to the Dance Stage with brand new mixes. Speaking of stages, all performances will be taking place on the virtual Radio 1 Stage, Radio 1 Dance Stage, 1Xtra Stage, BBC Music Introducing Stage, and Headliner Stage.
