Self-professed Billy Bragg super-fan, and federal member for Grayndler, Anthony ‘Albo’ Albanese will have his chance to chat with the punk-rocking veteran at this year’s Fairgrounds Festival. In what promises to be one of the festivals most popular non-musical attractions the two will be taking to the Fairgrounds Talk Stage 1.30pm – 2.15pm on Saturday, to presumably chat music/arts and politics (let’s face it, it would be weird if they talked about anything else).
Also announced today Smith Street Band frontman Will Wagner will be doing a storytelling session, in which he will be reading from “Little Cat and the Big Red Bus” which was written by his mother Jane Godwin and “Why I Love Summer”, written by his father Michael Wagner, at 2.45pm on Saturday. Sounds like a soothing afternoon activity to rest your overactive festival mind.
And in other Fairgrounds news, desert-pinks Bunny Racket will be replacing The Listies on the lineup, and illustrator Elin Matilda will be running a not-so-serious drawing and crafting sessions at the festival. Get all the Fairgrounds info some of the remaining tickets right here.
