Sydney’s Bloods drop title track from forthcoming sophomore album.

Fans of Sydney garage/punk trio have been licking their lips waiting for their follow-up to their 2014 debut LP Work It Out, with singles ‘Bug Eyes’ and ‘Bring My Walls Down’ reminding us of the groups ability to produce fuzz-pop gems that buzz around in your head for days after you hear them. Now, they gift us the emotionally charged title track from their forthcoming album ‘Feelings,’ which frontwoman MC says is about starting fresh:

“When I wrote the song I was coming out of a pretty devastating breakup and just started to date someone new and the song itself is about that perfect storm of emotions where you’re trying to remain positive while your trying to forget a past heartbreak and look into the future while you’re held back by your past.”

‘Feelings’ combines Blondie-esque, sugary verses with an anthemic, hooky chorus that fits oh so smoothly while still holding onto punk rawness and energy. Surprisingly, the song came together pretty quickly.

“It’s a really special song. It was the last song I wrote for the record and I wrote it under the pressure of feeling like album needed just one more track and it came together naturally. I wrote in the Wednesday, we recorded it on the Saturday and we jammed on it twice before we went into the studio and put it down,” says MC.

‘Feelings’ is will be released on brand new US label, Share It Music which operates as a non-profit organisation and splits revenue between artists, their chosen charities and the label, with Bloods choosing to support the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
