Blue’s feature game is on point…
Having Beyonce and Jay-Z for parents, it’s fair to say Blue Ivy has a bit of an advantage over us in the record business. Luckily for her, Jay-Z is a total G and sampled her baby gurgling for his track ‘Glory’ when she was first born. Giving her a credit on the record for said gurgling (would we expect anything less from Hov?) meant she currently holds the record as the youngest person to chart on Billboard.
Her mother Beyonce is a total G as well, regularly crediting her or using her vocals on songs which go on to absolutely blow up and define the culture. Thus, Blue racks up listeners for every stream of a song she’s featured on, racking up over a million listeners on Spotify.
Blue joins a small group of talented people who’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with both Jay Z and Beyonce, and it’s fair to say we’re just a bit jealous. But hey, being the child of one of rap’s GOATS and pop’s greatest superstars, she probably has more talented in her little finger than most people have in their whole body, so who are we to judge?
