Following over ten years since their last tour of Australia, US indie band Bon Iver have announced their long-awaited return down under. Set to take place in February and March of next year, the tour will see them take to the likes of Sydney’s Aware Super Theatre, Brissy’s Riverstage, Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl and more over their two month stay in the country.
The news comes three years on from the release of Bon Iver’s critically-acclaimed (and Grammy-nominated) last album, i,i, in 2019. Since it’s release, mastermind behind the project, Justin Vernon, has toured the world in its stead, all the while growing Bon Iver from a mere solo act to an ever-changing band of numerous musicians, songwriters and more. No doubt a solid bunch of them will be making their way down under for next year’s festivities.
It’s safe to say the band’s Aussie return will be well worth the wait. Presale tickets to Bon Iver’s tour kick off tomorrow at 9am, with general sale from the same time the day after. For now, check out the full tour dates below.
