Southern Comfort’s ‘Southern Sounds’ festival just got a whole heap bigger.

One a couple of weeks ago we announced New Orleans-inspired festival Southern Sounds would be making its Sydney debut in December, with a lineup that includes homegrown rapper, Remi (with full band), Sissy Nobby (USA), Kaiit, and Milan Ring. And now, they’ve just added another huge act to the bill – bounce music royalty Big Freedia.

That’s right, the Beyonce and Drake collaborator will be bringing her legendary shake team down to the Commune laneway on the 8th of December, for an event that is promising to have the highest twerk-to-person ratio Sydney has ever seen.
